The Silver Economy Summit will also advance Nova Scotia’s Strategy for Positive Aging [PDF] through discussion about senior engagement and opportunities to foster seniors’ own efforts to live healthy, independent lives. Nova Scotia’s average age has been increasing over the past several years, and is currently the highest in Canada. Already a leader in seniors’ issues, the Nova Scotia Department of Seniors will continue to break new ground when it hosts the Silver Economy Summit 2010 - the first North American conference of its kind - in Halifax, Nova Scotia, May 13-14, 2010.
